V.I.P. - Visions In Prevention
What is VIP?
Visions in Prevention (V.I.P.) is an educational program designed to encourage crime prevention, proper decision-making, positive self esteem, and resiliency in elementary students.
City Court's V.I.P. officer is a court representative, as well as a resource educator in Tangipahoa Parish Schools.
What VIP is doing
- 100 hours of prevention education presented in local schools each year.
- Approximately 1,000 students participate in roleplaying, educational presentations, videos, a mock trial, and various other activities to empower children to make good and healthy decisions and to decrease juvenile delinquency.
